Our Pirate Adventure At John's Pass, Florida
We had no plans at all for our very last day of vacation, but after looking around we decided to head back to Madeira beach and John's pass.
Before boarding all the boys were given paper pirate hats and we had a family photo taken. It was a blisteringly hot day but once we set sail we had a nice breeze helping to keep us cool.
The kids all settled down on the deck to listen to a long pirate story while the adults watched the sights all around.
There was music playing and drinks were included in the price of the tour so we kept the kids well hydrated. They joined in the limbo contest too.
We did a bit of shopping, ate a fantastic lunch at The Friendly fisherman, and headed out on a pirate ship adventure.

The kids were taken into the backroom and next thing we knew they came out running around the ship with water guns! We all got a little wet (and some of us got soaked!)

The kids could have their faces painted, found some "treasure" and got to trade in their coins for some candy and a necklace.

It was great fun for all and we were so excited to end our trip with many dolphin sightings. We even saw two or three dolphins playing together jumping up out of the water as we were pulling into port.
They're tricky to get pictures of though!
That looks like so much fun! I bet my kids would love that!
ReplyDeleteIt was great! Very lively and fun.
DeleteI really love the adventures that your family get up to. I am so jealous as I love dolphins I'd love to see some in the wild. Sarah #ExplorerKids
ReplyDeleteThanks! We were so thrilled to see dolphins in the wild; in fact I'd say that might have ended up stealing the show.
DeleteHow fantastic! my son loves anything to do with pirates. Looks like a fun adventure for all the family :) Mandy xx #ExplorerKids
ReplyDeleteIt was great! A bit young feeling for my boys but they were great about joining in and having fun anyway.
DeleteThat looks like fun for everyone! We go to a little island off of NC called BHI, Bald Head Island. They have pirate activities too, but my girls get scared! #explorerkids xoxo
ReplyDeleteAw, that's cute. There was nothing scary about this ride; our pirate guides were having just as much fun as the kids.
DeleteI know my grandsons would love to go on a pirate ship journey such as this! What fun!
