Blogging Through the Alphabet: Y is for Years

That saying "the days are long but the years are short" has been playing over and over in my mind lately.  It seems like the older I get and the older my boys get, the faster the years seem to fly by.

It is amazing to me that we have been homeschooling for 5 years.  Those memories of our first few days at home are so vivid that it feels like yesterday.

Of course, I also vividly remember the days they were born, the endless sleepless nights and the many toddler tantrums too.

It's amazing to me how those days just turned into years in the blink of an eye.

I watch my boys growing by leaps and bounds and am struck by just how fast it all goes by.  I am so thankful to have so much extra time with my boys.  Sure it's not always easy having them home and with me all the time but I can't imagine sending them to school each day and only seeing them for a couple of hours.

I am so thankful for these past 5 years learning alongside my boys and sharing in their everyday lives.   Homeschooling has helped those years feel just a tiny bit longer and a little bit fuller.

We've had so many fun times together and I look forward to savoring the next years together with

  1. Years can fly by but what a privilege we have to be a part of that growth and change we see.
