Art Project # 57-- Candy Trees

Once I saw what a hit our gingerbread train was I looked around for some more candy crafting ideas.  I think mostly my boys just like the idea of snacking while crafting but that's OK.  I don't mind; I just love seeing them hard at work.

We decided to make some candy trees!

I had the boys each pick a candy they wanted to use: holiday M & M's, mints, Hershey Hugs and Kisses and they set about filling up their tree with them.  We "painted" the trees with frosting and then stuck the candies onto the frosting.

    1. We have! And I have about three more I'm in the process or writing up; we're really knocking them out now that we're inside and at home more often.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Too bad that your hubby doesn't like the idea of a Tree in the bedroom. My husband learned a long time ago to never tell me what not to do!!
    LOL!!

    1. Ha ha! Mine would only object to having to carry it up from the basement and then store it away again. We do have a tree in our living room and one small tree in each of our boys rooms...

    1. LOL! Yep, I certainly am. We actually had too many projects planned to get to them all this year. I'm kind of bummed about that!
