Art Project #43: Fine Line Fall Leaves
We were looking for some fun fall themed art projects and my boys could not agree on just one project... so we decided to do all 3! We had gone to Art Projects for Kids site and looked up "leaves." This is often my go to place when trying to think up fun art projects for my boys. Her site is filled with wonderful ideas and such easy to follow instructions!
We started with the fine line drawing of leaves. Evan picked this as part of our 100 Days of Art Challenge.
We started with the fine line drawing of leaves. Evan picked this as part of our 100 Days of Art Challenge.
It was a nice, easy, non- messy art project. We started by lightly drawing long lines that would be the stem of our leaves. Then we made a large x toward one end to make our cross lines for the leaves and lightly traced out our leaf shapes.
Using fine line markers and a ruler we started making our leaves. We traced over our vein lines and used the outlines of our leaves as a guide on where to stop drawing our lines.
When ever leaf was filled in we erased the lines around the outside of the leaves and we were left with little leaf skeletons.
