52 Lists week #21; My Favorite Snacks

Anyone who knows me that this list challenge was no challenge at all this week.  I think the only problem I had with "listing your favorite snacks" was narrowing it down enough that it could all fit in one blog post!

I love snacks and I love a variety of foods.

Some days there is nothing I want more than a crunchy/ salty snack like:

  • potato chips (most any flavor will do!)
  • buttery popcorn
  • Smartfood
  • Cheetos
  • cheese curls
  • Cheese, crackers, and pepperoni
  • Cheez- It's

Some days nothing but chocolate will do! and I really want something like:
  • Nutty bars
  • homemade brownies
  • warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies
  • decadent chocolate mousse cheesecake
  • a trifle cake with pudding, cool whip and candy bits (Like this one pictured below)
  • Peanut butter pie with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce drizzles
  • Chocolate covered strawberries (healthy with all those strawberries in it; right?)
  • Lindt truffles (dark chocolate preferably)

Other times I want something filling and totally comforting like:
  • French fries loaded with balsamic vinegar and salt
  • A bagel toasted with some butter and melted cheese on top
  • Hot cocoa
  • A warm buttery croissant
  • A French baguette with smoked Gouda cheese
  • A warm, salty jumbo pretzel from Auntie Annie's (preferably with a melted cheese product cup)

And then other times I just need something cold and refreshing:
  • Ice cream!  My favorite flavors are Maine Black Bear and Moose Tracks but I'm not usually picky about flavors.
  • Italian Ice
  • A Del's frozen lemonade
  • Pina Colada with lots of whipped cream!
  • Chocolate lasagna (layers of Oreo cookie crumbs, chocolate pudding, cool whip and chocolate chips)
  • McDonald's Mocha Frappe

Perhaps making my snacking list an hour before dinner was not the best choice... I just made myself mighty hungry!

How about you; is there one special snack you just can't live without?

  1. Many of these are indulgences for me these days. I have to eat pretty struck with my RA symptoms. Sounds like you know what you like. Now you made me hungry!
