52 Lists week #20; My Summer Goals
I loved this week's list assignment; list your summer goals because I usually don't think to write any of my goals down and summer just sort of slips away quietly.
But I do always have ideas in my head for things I'd like to do and things I'd like to accomplish.
Most of the time my lists consists of fun things I want to do with the boys and my family; usually my list is waaay to long to actually accomplish in one summer anyway but luckily they usually have most of the same things on them from year to year. Things like:
- Have a cookout
- Enjoy a night of campfires and s'mores
- Go on a bike ride
- Check out an amusement park
- Go on field trips
- Invite friends over for swimming
- Relax, rejuvenate, and read
- Go to the beach
- Have a picnic in the yard
- Lighten up our workload (for school)
But I always have other things on my goal list too. Things like;
- Paint the pillars on the house
- Weed the garden and replant/ fix the broken bushes from winter
- Plant some hanging baskets of flowers
- Tend a vegetable garden
- Make a new cushion for our patio swing
Summer is the perfect time to balance fun family activities with a to do list that is all about sprucing up the outside of our home.
What's on your list of summer goals?

You have included many practical and do-able things. I love bike rides on summer evenings. And mixing things around the house needing to get done too - win win!
ReplyDeleteThank you. :)
DeleteOh, I like the "lighten up the workload" for school! I always start off so strong and then I watch things fizzle a little. I like this idea :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe tend to be pretty busy all summer long so we try to cover just the basics; a review sheet for math, 15 or so minutes of reading and an occasional science experiment or art project and focus mainly on field trips.
DeleteWe just moved, so I've already lightened our school workload, but I really want to add in some local field trips so we can really get to know the area!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful way to spend the summer! We love exploring new areas (though we have never moved)... we'll travel often.
DeleteI totally agree....balancing the to do list with the summer fun is what summer is all about! Thank you so much for linking up with us!!

Thanks for reading and stopping by! I downloaded your whole year of link up ideas and plan to participate again; I loved all the bucket list ideas.
DeleteFun list! I really should make a summer goal list...otherwise it's so easy to summer to just fly by without getting in all the activities we want!
ReplyDeleteI found that to be so true too. Rarely do we get everything on our list done but at least it gives us a jumping off point and ideas for days we're looking for something fun to do.

DeleteThis is a great list! Hope you get it all done!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I hope so too but I'm pretty sure there will be some things we forget about as summer goes on.

DeleteGreat list - I totally agree with your perspective! We title our lists "Bucket Lists" and come up with one every season! (Love me a good list - nothing like 'em to get you in a productive and intentional mindset!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this on Coffee and Conversation last week - we'll be featuring it at this week's party! :-)
Happy Summer to you!!!
Thank you for the feature!
